Chinese folklore story

A rich man, who has never worked in his entire life, decided to grow a crop of rice. He planted seeds and waited impatiently for them to come out. When small green sprouts appeared on the surface he thought he is going to help them. He went to the field and "helped" his rise to grow. After the whole day of work he came back home tired but proud and told his five that he is smarter then farmers. They sit and wait for rice to grow and he tugged on young sprouts and made them taller. Next day all his rice was ruined, the sprouts died because they were uprooted from the ground.
When you ride your horse do not be like that Chinese man. Be patient with your horse and develop him slowly and methodically. Do not "pull on sprouts to help them grow."
Happy riding...
